Description: A photograph of patients and nurses of the Tuberculosis Chalet (Isolation ward). Year is between 1951-1953. L>R Eileen Merrett, Jean O'Grady, Mr Richardson, patient, Ruby Lee (boy name unknown). The TB chalet was used to house geriatric patients after the invention of penicillin and the polio vaccination (polio vaccination created by Dr Jonas Salk in USA 1960's). Photograph and information provided by former nurse Ruby Hallowell (Lee).
