dc.description | Pictured is an Advertisement for the Master & Matron of the Villiers and Heytesbury Hospital and Benevolent Asylum (Warrnambool Hospital). The advert reads, 'Application accompanied by testimonials, will be received until Monday, 14th proximo, from married couples willing to fill the situation of Master and Matron of the above Asylum. The salary will be £100 per annum, with board and residence. Applicants will be required to state their ages and whether they have any family, if so, to give particulars. Applications will also be received to the same date for the appointment as Collector on behalf of the Asylum. A commission of ten per cent will be paid on the amount collected. All applications are to be address to the President and left with him, or the undersigned, on or before the date above named. By order, J. Hider, Secretary. Warrnambool, February 26, 1859.' | en |
